ANZAC Day holds a special place in the hearts of New Zealanders, and at Settlers Lifestyle Village, we take immense pride in coming together to commemorate this important day. Our annual ANZAC Day service is organised to honour the legacy of our servicemen and women who served and sacrificed so much for our nation.
The service will include a beautifully set stage, a display of treasured war-time memorabilia, and plenty of music, which the community is warmly invited to join in and sing along to.
We’re also very honoured to have the Greenhithe Brownie group participating as flag bearers, led by their longtime pack leader and valued Settlers Lifestyle Village resident Karin Hewitt.
Tea, Tales, and Traditions
Following the service, residents and guests are welcome to mingle over morning tea. This is a good opportunity to share stories, reflect on the past, and enjoy each other’s company. And, of course, the event would not be complete without a generous serving of ANZAC biscuits.
